Managed Talent Solutions's client is looking for a BI Solution Specialist for one of their clients based in Johannesburg. The BI Solution Architect must have experience in - Azure data factory, - PowerBI; - SSMS / Azure data studio, - SQL, DAX and JSON.  You must have proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing Power BI solutions to meet the organization's analytical and reporting needs. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, design data models, create ETL processes, and ensure data accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Matric plus Degree in Information technology or Business Management 
• Experience in designing and developing data models for a data warehouse or data mart.
• Knowledge in In-depth understanding of ETL processes and tools, such as ADF or SSIS
• Familiarity with Kimbell methodology and its application to BI solution development.
• Tabular modelling
• Microsoft Dynamics 365

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for extracting and transforming data from the system and using ETL processes to prepare data for analysis.
• Create and maintain ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading into the data warehouse.
• Architect, design, and develop complex SQL queries to extract data from various data sources.
• Using dimensional modelling, create dimensions and facts for use in Power BI tabular data models.
• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data models to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Extensive use of DAX language for Power BI measure creation 
• Define and enforce best practices and standards for BI solution development and stay up to date with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform releases.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the BI solution to ensure maximum efficiency and availability.
• Design and build interactive Power BI reports that leverages the tabular models slicing and dicing capabilities.
• Administer and manage the online Power BI data service for Power BI reports, dashboards and datasets.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements for BI solutions.
• Conduct data analysis and profiling to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate the BI solution with other enterprise systems.
• Conduct training sessions to educate end-users on the capabilities and functionalities of the BI solutions.
• Understand key business processes on which business intelligence will be built.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve BI solution architecture and performance.
• Create business efficiency through the use of Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
