BIM Manager at GIBB Engineering and Architecture

Core Purpose

• Management & Coordination of BIM & Revit related tasks under the supervision of the National BIM Manager.

Key Performance Areas

• Advanced knowledge in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (and legacy work on BIM360), Navisworks and relevant model and clash coordination software.
• Advise and implement SVA BIM Workplan, BIM Standards and Procedures. 
• Develop new BIM Standards and Procedures where required. 
• Advise on project setup and planning, and define Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) 
• Implement and/or advise Project Leaders on the implementation of BIM project workflows 
• Collaborate and Coordinate with other consultants / disciplines design-changes and model challenges 
• Lead project BIM Kick-off meetings and BIM Coordination meetings. 
• Prepare BIM models for coordination meetings. 
• Present new technologies which align and add benefit to the overall company BIM strategy. 
• Manipulate/translate various digital file formats in order to create useable Revit drawings. 
• Working with client File Transfer Protocol (FTP) sites to download Revit models together with projectdeliverable uploads. 
• Provide BIM & Revit support to staff across the organisation when required 
• Support (and install) BIM software updates, calibration process, as well as installation of add-ins where required. 
• Support creation, testing and maintenance of Revit templates. 
• Enforce project workflows and use of best practice and standards. 
• Troubleshoot interoperability issues and recovery of corrupt models. 
• Undertake auditing of Revit projects. 
• Attend (by invitation only) SVA National IT Forum

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• B.Tech (Arch) or similar
• Evidence of Advanced Revit Certification 

Experience

• At least 5 years in Architecture & / BIM Management
• Autodesk Suite of Software – Advanced Usage
