Job Summary:

- Represent the Employer’s Agent to the extent of his/her delegated responsibilities and keep the Employer’s Agent fully informed at all times. Core Purpose:
- The Facilities coordinator will oversee all activities within the office, parking area, and external building as required. Responsible to ensure that all health and safety standards are met and will also be the 17.1 Safety Officer appointee. Ensure proper office maintenance, equipment, housekeeping standards, and daily office operations run smoothly. Manage on-site contractors and arrange for repairs or scheduled maintenance when needed. Perform all office administration duties i.e. purchase orders, national stationery orders, couriers, staff personal information updates, internal office recharges, driver and receptionists supervision, and health and safety reports. Will report to the National Facilities Manager and assist with tracking expenses will also be the central Facilities Helpdesk liaison to record, assign, track, and close all office and maintenance-related queries or faults at all GIBB - SVAI offices nationally.

Job Summary:
- We are in search of a highly skilled Resident Engineer with extensive experience in Civil Engineering, specializing in water supply and/or wastewater projects. The ideal candidate must hold a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering, professional registration with ECSA (or accepted equivalent other professional registration) would be an added advantage. The candidate shall have a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience. The primary responsibility of the Resident Engineer will be to supervise and manage the detailed design and construction of gravity sewerage networks, sewerage pump stations, and sewerage service connections in the Seychelles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and provide feedback on the Contractor's Design and Method Statements, Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning Procedures, and Work Programmes. Conduct regular audits of the Contractor's Quality Assurance Programme.
- Supervise financial compliance by determining the costs of variations and their impact on the Bid Price. Approve variations within the delegated authority and advise the Employer on variations beyond that amount. Review and supervise interim and final payments and prepare the Final Account.
- Monitor and report on contractor compliance with local regulations, laws, standards, and technical norms throughout the construction period, including Health and Safety procedures.
- Monitor progress, work quality, safety, deliveries, environmental issues, safety on site, and health issues.
- Inspect and approve samples and witness the testing of materials and equipment in compliance with the works contract technical specifications. Ensure that all tests are witnessed before completion and carry out final inspections.
- Prepare certificates of completion, taking-over documents, and all other necessary documents in accordance with FIDIC Conditions of Contract. Organize the acceptance and approval of the site by the relevant authorized body.
- Prepare a List of Defects to be remedied by the Contractor during the Defects Notification Period (DNP). Provide contractual and technical assistance to the Employer as agreed.

Qualifications and Experience:
- B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution;

- Preference given to years of experience involving construction supervision projects;
- At least 2 project references that involved detailed design of gravity sewerage networks, sewerage pump stations and sewerage service connections;

- At least 1 project reference that involved construction supervision of wastewater and/or water treatment plants;
- Preference will be given to experience and project references that included gravity sewerage networks having deep excavations (up to 3 metres deep) and high groundwater tables;
Preference will also be given to experience and project references that included gravity sewerage networks having PE Manholes and extrusion welding of PE pipe fittings.

The person appointed in this role will be responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings for steel, and mechanical layouts using the applicable standards and specifications, engineering calculations, sketches, detailed drawings, and design information according to project standards and procedures.
- This position requires coordination with other discipline designers such as electrical, piping, and project team members to ensure a complete and timely production of drawing packages, spreadsheets, and databases to document information related to design.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
- Work on a variety of projects pertaining to the mining industry ranging from modifications to new facilities.
- Become familiar with project scope, specifications and design criteria when assigned to a project team.
- Participate in design reviews with other disciplines to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations.
