Summary

• Our company is looking to employ a temporary bookkeeper, which could extend to a permanent role.
• Employment contract for 3 – 6 months depending on experience and knowledge.

Salary based on experience.

Description

• Providing accurate, up-to-date financial information
• To perform daily and monthly book-keeping tasks up to trial balance and balancing of books
• Maintaining and entering transactions on SAGE
• Record daily transactions and must balance books monthly
• Bank reconciliation
• Monthly reporting to confirm the financial position of the business
• Ensuring invoices received are SARS compliant and accurate and paid in a timely manner
• Capturing VAT entries, VAT calculations, filing of returns and payment arrangements
• Knowledge of assisting with profit and loss and balance sheet accounts
• Communication with Accountants regarding financials and tax queries.
• Knowledge of General Ledger and accounting entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation

Minimum Requirements

• Must be able to problem solve
• Knowledge of preparing budgets and forecasts

Must have knowledge of accounting practices and specific computer programme knowledge:

• SAGE Accounting
• Excel skills
• Bank payment skills/experience
• General knowledge and experience of internal business practices
• Trial balance knowledge and experience
• Experience: 3 years and more

Experience:Between 3 - 5 Years
