    Bookkeeper

    Description

    We’re seeking an enthusiastic bookkeeper who has the core skills required to support our busy crowdfunding support agency and is motivated to learn more on the job with a hands-on approach. You’ll have the drive and enthusiasm to help us deliver innovative crowdfunding campaigns on recognised global platforms such as Crowdcube, Seedrs, Kickstarter, Indiegogo and Crowdfunder.

    You will be happy working both independently and as part of a team. The TribeFirst team and their partners work across the UK and European time zones, with many working from home offices. As such, the bulk of your communication with both the team and with clients will be through email, Zoom and telephone, rather than in person.

    Training and support will be provided for all elements of the role. Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software / database

    • Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure

    • Tracking vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances

    • Calculating VAT return and PAYE for HMRC

    • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting management of errors

    • Recording any inconsistencies to help management reconcile inaccuracies

    • Reconciliation of transactions on Xero

    • Managing employee expense claims

    • Credit control duties

    • Helping management with administrative duties

    • Creating client contracts

    Requirements

    Essential skills

    • Financial admin experience

    • Zoom

    • Word, Excel, PP

    • Deadline-oriented

    • Ability to collaborate and work as a team
