    Engineering Artisan – Boilermaker

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements, standards and specifications
    • Perform daily inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, operational and Company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor
    • Develop, modify, construct and install all types of trade related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
    • Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion
    • Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade specific equipment and systems
    • Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production
    • Supports the achievement of equipment/ machine availability and production performance levels
    • Ensure that maintenance related information is recorded and reported in time to the relevant planning office to support the planned maintenance /asset maintenance system

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Valid Section 13 Trade Test / Section 26(D) certificate required
    • Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
    • Own transport to attend to call outs

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualified Boilermaker in a mineral processing plant

    Lead Process Engineer - Johannesburg

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety responsibilities
    • Responsible for the planning, controlling and co-ordination of process engineering activities, to ensure optimal utilisation of resources
    • Evaluates process feasibility and economic studies and assists other disciplines as far as process design is concerned
    • Coordinates with operations and maintenance personnel in order to ensure that plant performance is optimized with regard to throughput, recoveries and product quality
    • Monitors, investigates and analyses plant performance to ensure continuous improvement and maximum operational efficiencies
    • Conducts research and development with the aim to improve process efficiencies, methods, and deliver a quality product
    • Provides process engineering and technical expertise on the plant
    • Conducts process evaluations and develops process concepts
    • Oversee the drafting of P&IDs and PFDs
    • Helps with the technical adjudication of process plant equipment
    • Understands technical issues and challenges, able to write proposals / scopes of work, process design criteria including PFD’s and P&IDs, scheduling and managing test work, analysing data, and compiling metallurgical reports
    • Manage and / or mentor process engineers and metallurgists
    • Project Management
    • Analyzes the project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources, and means allocated for the work completed and the targets to be met.
    • Identify project hot spots, criticalities, and activity priorities.
    • Identify and executes cost reduction and production optimisation initiatives

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 10 years’ hands on experience in process engineering from a design and operating perspective
    • Management experience
    • Project Management
    • Experience maximising plant performance and reducing bottlenecks in the production process
    • Research and Development experience
    • Base metal processing experience will be an advantage
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • English language proficiency
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    Regional Financial Accountant MENA Region

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Financial

    • Compile various management accounting reports according to financial and organisational requirements which include but not limited to the following reports:
    • Monthly P&L with interpretation and corrective action of items on variance report
    • Reconciliation of P&L to Head Office Management Accounts for Group reporting
    • Monthly report of STE expenditure against contract allowance
    • Monthly operational cost report to client with variance to budget
    • Weekly cost forecasting to client
    • Monthly capital expenditure report and quarterly forecasting to client
    • Compile Ad-hoc reports according to client and business requirements
    • Assist management with analysis and interpretation of financial information
    • Maintain and improve financial controls in the MENA region
    • Weekly cash flow forecast reports

    Cost Control

    • Ensure and review expenditure to the correct cost centers
    • Weekly cost control meetings with plant to manage and forecast expenditure within budget
    • Monthly analyses of salary expenditure per plant against contract allowance and budget
    • Investigate and implement cost saving initiatives

    Budgets

    • Prepare, compile and consolidate operational and capital budgets of all departments per site
    • Prepare, compile and consolidate regional operational and capital site budgets
    • Compile production and capital budgets for approval by client
    • Prepare monthly re-forecast for Group submission and perform variance analysis to budget
    • Maintenance and physical verification of asset register to reconcile physical assets against register

    Audits

    • Facilitate the auditing process (internal & external) by supplying information to external auditors according to organizational requirements
    • Review and provide feedback on audit findings
    • Report and implementation of corrective action of audit findings

    Statutory compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all statutory matters in the MENA region including but not limited to:
    • Compiling or reviewing periodic returns and payments
    • Country-specific compliance requirements
    • DRA Policies of internal control
    • Stay abreast of regional statutory requirements and implement necessary changes

    Client contract

    • Review and approve client invoicing in line with contract
    • Ensure client invoice submitted timeously in prescribed manner to client on monthly basis
    • Manage payment by client and resolve discrepancies
    • Facilitate resolution of client queries and attend client meetings if required

    Customer and Stakeholders

    • Communicate job task with co-workers, supervisors and colleagues
    • Interact with management, staff, clients and /or suppliers
    • Build good working relationship with client representatives
    • Build and maintain a constructive relationship with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that all documentation and information required are received timeously and accurately

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Qualified CA (SA) / CIMA (or equivalent)

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 6 years’ experience in a Senior Accounting Position
    • Mining background preferrable
    • Sage X3 experience
    • Financial exposure to the MENA region preferrable
    • Very good numeracy and analytical skills
    • Computer literate in MS Office (Advanced Excel)
    • Project management skills/experience required
    • Knowledge of commercial law and the preparation and interpretation of contracts
    • Experience with interaction and presentations at executive management level
    • Manage stress levels and deliver on tight deadlines due to listed environment requirements (ASX/ JSE)
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Assertiveness and resilience to manage conflicts and challenges effectively
    • Passion for financial systems implementation and maintenance
    • Ownership mentality towards job responsibilities and outcomes
    • Willing to travel extensively
