    Insulation Service Project Manager - JHB

    Job Description

    The Insulation Service Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Planning and coordinating production process to meet project timelines and requirements. This includes developing production schedules, allocating resources and coordinating with other department or teams
    • Ensuring the prefabricated components meet the required quality standards and correct dimensions by establishing quality control measures, conduct inspection and implement corrective actions when necessary
    • Managing inventory and ensuring their availability for production.
    • Work closely with the procurement team to maintain an adequate supply of material whilst minimizing waste and cost.
    • Safety is a top priority at the company. Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspection and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, regulations and standards.
    • Implement LEAN principles and strive for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, reduce costs and maintain a competitive edge.
    • Manage and Lead the Team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, training, and ensuring a safe working environment.
    • Keeping accurate records of production activities such as production volumes, quality data and inventory levels important for tracking performance and making informed decisions.
    • Ensure Assets are maintained in good working order and maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times.
    • Maintain Catalogue and constantly review and update pricing as required
    • Oversee packaging, logistics and final delivery to customer

    Managerial Responsibilities

    • Management, planning and co-ordination of the Inpact Project activities such as; collaborating with stakeholders, setting project milestones, ensuring budgets and timelines are met and the financial success of the project.
    • Prepare accurate, professional and timeous reporting, such as sales forecasts, cost analysis, productivity reporting, daily labour and material utilization reports, etc.
    • Performance manage direct reports.

    Business Development and Client Relations

    • Analyse market trends and customers needs to identify new business opportunities and competitor activities.
    • Collaborate with Sales Manager to align sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share
    • Identify potential clients, establish new business relationships and nurture existing ones.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to expand the Company's presence
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
    • Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction

    • Honesty and integrity are critical to the position and the ability of management to trust the job incumbent is essential.
    • Overtime is willingly worked where it is a Client requirement or unavoidable.
    • Commitment to additional tasks within the scope of your job description is given willingly and with enthusiasm.

    Knowledge, Skills and Expertise

    • Considerable knowledge of the standard practices, methods, materials, and tools of the insulation trade.
    • Project management - financial and administrative acumen to meet job requirements ( eg: project reporting, Profit & Loss , and Productivity Positions)
    • Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the insulation trade.
    • Skill in the use of standard tools and equipment of the insulation trade.

    Job Requirements

    • Fully conversant in the English language, additional languages will be an advantage.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
    • Computer Literacy - Intermediate to Advanced on Microsoft Packages
    • Be able to work methodically and accurately with above average attention to detail.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Matric/Grade 10
    • Mechanical Engineering Degree
    • Project Management
