    Brand Manager

    Brand Manager

    A fantastic opportunity is available for a Brand Manager to join RB's Marketing team.

    This role is responsible for the marketing assigned brand/ group of brands within the category. The brand manager is expected to lead the brand growth agenda in line with the overall category strategy in the market and country projects. The role is intended to offer an opportunity for high potential marketers the opportunity to work various aspects including: complex country projects, product & Brand Management, P&L; Management, New Product Launch, Brand communication (ATL & BTL). Overseeing the entire creative process for a single product, or group of products and services. You will work on key elements of brand strategy and focus on margin enhancement and work on analysis that supports market growth and consumer understanding.

    As an integral member of an experienced and dynamic marketing team, you will be required to work closely with the internal stakeholders on consumer and trade activation as well as media planning, consumer research and public relations handling. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive local adaption of global best practices and ensure brand/ category objectives are met to accomplish goals and objectives of the team and business.
     

    Qualifications:

    • Strong sense of urgency and achievement.
    • Highly resilient and able to perform under pressure
    • Action- orientated, entrepreneurial and focused problem-solving focus.
    • Independent with the ability to take initiative and ownership.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Strong interpersonal skills capable of building and influencing strong working relationships across wide and diverse teams.
    • Strong analytical skills and understanding of P&L; and financial statements.
    • Proven successful FMCG and/ or Pharmaceutical brand marketing experience of at least 4-5 years.
    • Proven experience and understanding of: Brand Management & Brand communication (ATL & BTL), New Product Launch, Line Extension & Innovation, Market/Competitor Research (AC Nielsen), Consumer & Trade Activation. Consumer research.
    • Educated to minimum Bachelors degree in Business Commerce/ Marketing, preferred Marketing. Post graduate qualification is beneficial.
    • Must be a RSA citizen.
