    BU Human Capital Manager (Holdings)

    Description

    This role requires a seasoned professional capable of developing and executing strategic human capital initiatives to support organizational goals and foster a positive work culture. In this capacity, the incumbent will collaborate closely with the leadership team and Group Centres of Excellence (COE) to comprehend and implement the organization's human capital and talent strategy, addressing current and future talent requirements, recruitment, retention, systems management, and succession planning. All these efforts will be executed in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and HC metrics.

    Strategy:

    • Develop and implement HC strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape and drive the overall HC vision
    • Facilitate effective implementation of new people management initiatives in different departments and levels of the business as appropriate
    • Oversee the HCBP function within the Holdings division and function with a view to embed an out-perform and sustainable staff engagement

    Business planning:

    • Contribute to the definition of tactical plans that will contribute to the Group Human Capital Strategy
    • Responsible for delivering a comprehensive and people centric service, aligning both people management and business strategies
    • Work closely in partnership with Group HC Centres of Excellence to ensure the business areas are supported effectively
    • Ensuring that solid basic transactional HC functions are managed within the function according to required procedures and standards
    • Collaborate with Group wide Human capital teams to lead a high performing, relevant and impactful HC department in Holdings

    HR Data Analytics and Insights Monitor:

    • Monitor, analyse and report on key HC enablers such as employee movements, training ,People Management, Reporting and Analytics; Governance, SLA’s and HC Metrics to optimize the Human Capital of the organization
    • Analyzes and reports on KPIs and trends related to human capital in the business and uses these findings to develop plans and solutions

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers to support the business’s vision, mission, and overall objectives

    Leadership and Direction:

    • Proactively, lead, coach and manage the HCBP function, ensuring best in class delivery and the management of an effective business partnering service across the business

    Talent Acquisition:

    • Play a role in designing, developing and executing full cycle of recruitment plans and talent sourcing strategies aligned to the COE Talent Acquisition, to ensure the attraction, selection and successful recruitment of potential talents
    • Develops and executes with the HCBPs the workforce plans, provides exceptional candidate experience and builds and maintains a candidate pipeline through networking

    Requirements

    Formal Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Capital or BA/B.Com degree (Industrial or Organisational Psychology)
    • A relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage

    Overall experience:

    • Proven experience in human capital leadership roles, demonstrating strategic thinking and execution of human capital business strategies
    • 10 Years’ experience within a HC role focusing on all facets of the lifecycle of an employee with a minimum of 5 years’ management experience preferably at Mid-Management level with proven experience in engaging Group-level executives

    Specific experience, knowledge and registrations:

    • At least 5 years’ experience as a HC Business Partner- experience in the following: human resources management / HR Organization capability management / change management / talent management (Succession planning, Recruitment, Development, Employee Experience and Retention) / performance & reward / human capital planning / ER, IR and wellness / job evaluation / organisational design and workforce planning
    • Experience in advising on Industrial Relations issues with experience at CCMA or other dispute resolution bodies
    • Experience in Project Management and HCMS (SAP, VIP, CRS)
    • Experience in influencing senior management and departmental heads into the adoption of ultimately beneficial people management policies and procedures.
