Business Analyst - Contract at AFA - Accounting and Financial Advisory

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and business analysis, with a proven track record of successfully navigating complex financial data and providing strategic insights to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to provide insights into key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in financial processes and systems.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support business initiatives and projects.
• Provide recommendations to management based on financial analysis and interpretation of data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CA (SA) qualification required. 
• IFRS 17/insurance experience is essential. 
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial    information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the technology industry or financial services sector is a plus.
