General Requirements:

• Grade 12 (or equivalent)
• Post Matric Qualification
• South African citizen
• Ekurhuleni resident (specify ward number)
• Unemployed
• Basic knowledge of municipal service and system
• Working knowledge of the languages and dynamics of the City of Ekurhuleni
• Computer literacy

Specific Requirements:

• Six months minimum experience in business regulations and compliance environment
• Good communication and language skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist and distribute comments to various departments for application for business licenses and trading permits
• Advise and maintain daily register of all applications received and/or submitted at service delivery coordinating centre
• Advise and assist the public on the process and documents required for business licenses and trading permits
• Advise and supervise Business Compliance Assistants with mobilization of business compliance
• Provide daily statistics, weekly and monthly reports to business compliance Coordinator
• Advise and represent CED on organised service delivery engagements and open day events
• Keep daily register of work attendance by Business Compliance Assistants
• Perform any other duties given by senior officials of Community Enterprise Development
