    Business Developer

    Introduction

    An innovative company specialising in the delivery of manufacturing and packaging process outsourcing solutions is looking for a dynamic Business Developer to join their team. 

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales
    • Identify decision makers at targeted accounts and develop relationships with these decision makers
    • Obtain and grow market share and revenue and optimise customer interactions by ensuring that the company has a 360-degree view of customers
    • Highlight all service capabilities at accounts with the view to break ground for all divisions
    • Increase the sales, profits and market share of the company by penetrating the market place by means of cold calling, follow ups and effective client calls
    • Plan and manage personal business portfolio, territory and business according to an agreed market development strategy
    • Manage products, service solutions, pricing and margins according to agreed goals
    • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions, ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
    • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems to update relevant information
    • Plan, carry out and support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, to integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
    • Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries using appropriate methods
    • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information to management
    • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally, methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
    • Attend and present at external customer meetings and conduct internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
    • Plan and direct the organisation's activities to achieve the stated and/or agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence
    • Identify and assess internal and external issues that affect the organization and inform management accordingly
    • Conduct official correspondence on behalf and jointly with the management as and when required
    • Represent the organization at community activities to enhance the organization's community profile
    • Ensure that the operational solution of the organization meets the expectations of its clients
    • Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization's sales programs and services
    • Ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organization's mission and reflect the priorities of the Company
    • Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the programs and services of the organization to maintain or improve quality
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • Matric
    • 2 to 5 years’ experience in Sales
    • Able to work under pressure in order to achieve targets
    • Strong time management
    • Exceptional people skills to be able to cement relationships with a diverse customer base
    • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
    • Computer literate (MS Office)
