    Business Development Specialist - Asset Based Finance

    You will be responsible to drive and grow profits, revenue sales and customer bases through effective management of accounts and maintaining strong lasting customer relationships thereby ensuring customer retention and sustainability for the organisation.

     

    The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

    • Understand industry, industry models, market trends, customer drivers, products and business systems and processes to ensure potential business is in line with organisational goals
    • Identify target customers by analysing potential markets in line with industry and specialty  
    • Analyse potential and existing customers to ensure competitive edge
    • Capitalise on existing relationships, knowledge, experience, etc
    • Determine positioning with suppliers in line with customer needs and direction
    • Regularly attend meetings and discussions
    • Develop proposals and present to relevant stakeholders
    • Negotiate MRA and SLA in line with customer and company needs
    • Develop qualified pipeline, quote, sell and close deals by maintaining calling programs  
    • Ensure sustainability by aligning to company strategy
    • Update the customer of relevant current status within the business as well as value add services on offer and ensure cross selling of these services (e.g. insurance, asset tracking etc.

    The successful candidate will meet the following key selection criteria:

    • Post matric qualification in the commercial field and/or IT
    • 3-5 years’ experience of business development, sales of asset-based finance / rental finance products to the SME, Corporate and/or Public sector.
    • Ability to structure and tailor solutions.
    • Strong financial understanding of product offerings and must be financially savvy.
    • Relevant legislative knowledge and understanding.
    • Must be a HUNTER at heart, loves the challenge of building a client base from the onset.
