Business Intelligence Analyst at M-KOPA

Job Responsibilities

• Proactively identify opportunities where analysis can drive valuable business results.
• Collect user requirements on key analytic/reporting needs from key business stakeholders.
• Query data from various internal and external databases using database languages such as SQL or U-SQL.
• Clean, interpret, and analyze data using statistical techniques.
• Build models, conduct analysis, and perform transformations on internal data using tools like Excel, SQL, and R.
• Test and quality assurance code to ensure high-quality analysis.
• Design user-friendly, clear, and impactful presentations of analytic findings.
• Improve and streamline technical and business processes.
• Train stakeholders throughout the organization to improve data fluency.
• Collaborate with the business to enable data-driven decision-making on critical business questions.

Skills Required

• Preferred additional skills include R, Python, DAX, and/or PowerBI or other data visualization tools (eg. Tableau)
• Excellent communication skills, discussing and describing data-related analysis, and ability to work across functions and geographies
• Experience and a high capacity in managing multiple problems and assignments at the same time and delivering high-quality outputs
• Proficiency in data mining and data modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their applications in data analysis.

Experience Required

• 2 years in data analytics roles, including strong experience doing analysis using excel and querying using SQL

Education Required

• BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Mining, ComputerScience, Economics, or related field preferred but not required
