Job Purpose

• The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for providing a holistic view of business data through designing and developing dashboards & reporting solutions that provide meaningful analytics and insights, integrate data from various internal and external platforms and provide business intelligence to enable effective decision-making across the multiple functions in the organisation.

Education

• B Degree (Informatics or statistics).
• Certification in SQL Database and Reporting
• Business Management Certification

Experience:

• 8 years BI development experience including in-depth experience with the BI Data Visualisation Tools; and experience with Geo Spatial analysis software applications.
• Experience in Casino Gaming environment is an advantage but not a necessity

Key Performance Areas:

• Identify internal client objectives and advise on suitable metrics to provide the business with relevant business intelligence
• Collect data from data warehouse and various business systems
• Conduct analyses and ongoing online testing of business data collected
• Direct quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test plans and managing the execution of testing.
• On completion of dashboards and / or reporting solutions, advise on suitability and effectiveness and provide input into possible changes or improvements of the dashboards / reports
• Manipulate the data and analyse the effects to facilitate the expected outcome required.
• Design and develop solutions that will provide business intelligence for improvement of business processes and growth within the business operations currently and predict future forecasts
• Create and apply data management solutions that are relevant and provide information for the business to ensure the data adds value to the operations and that the business remains relevant and competitive.
• Apply the data management governance to ensure absolute accuracy and quality of analytics and information produced.
• Research and keep up to date with relevant data visualisation and BI platforms, dashboards and channels and remain updated with policies and procedures and leading practice.
• Based on the analysis of the data collected, design and develop solutions, reports, tools, and dashboards that will provide the business operations with valuable insights about the business and integrated single view of customer experiences and preferences
• Extract and analyse data, identifying trends in systems and applications and provide insights aimed at driving business performance
• Present recommendations for review and approval with Group BI Management on initiatives, changes and updates
• Support the execution of any recommended changes and solutions developed
• Design and develop business analysis solutions as well as review and improve on existing solutions
• Take initiative to drive efficiencies and innovative solutions to analyse and give insight into business solutions derived from the analytics.
• Synergises the diverse existing datasets from the various business areas and provide a synchronistic and holistic view into these business and its commonalities
• Design and build a single view of the customer across all activities, spend, demographics and behaviours.
• Report on key metrics, analysing and interpreting trends and providing actionable insights based on available analytics data
• Develop and present business intelligence reports and draft recommendations for consideration across the multiple functions within the business
• Submit data-sets and related reports to the various stakeholders on a regular and ad-hoc basis
