    Business Manager - Chief HR Officer

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The incumbent will report directly to the Chief HR Officer and should have a strong HR background and good project management knowledge as well as an in-depth knowledge of the business and industry. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To increase the available time and agility of the Chief in order to focus his time, effort and priorities on strategic initiatives
    • Acts as the liaison between Group CHRO and executives, and stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and involvement or decision-making at the proper time
    • Responsible for consolidation of information and data to produce Exco, Ops Review, and Board reports
    • Formulates the Group HR strategy and ensures consistent communication across the markets
    • To assist the Chief with various functions including business project management
    • Determine key performance indicators and monitor Group HR performance
    • Acts as a strategic advisor to the Group CHRO and senior management team
    • Ad hoc requirements

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:
    Must have technical/professional qualifications: 

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Minimum of 3 year relevant National Diploma or Degree is essential
    • Business related courses completed is essential 
    • A business-related MBA is strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of Leadership/Management experience (essential)
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience:
    • Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a Corporate environment 
    • Telecommunications Project management
    • Managing/building relationships at Executive level

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • Organising and directing multiple teams and markets 
    • Experience in planning & leading strategic initiatives
    • Concurrently deliver on portions of multiple strategy projects in a fast-paced & results orientated environment
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Diplomacy
    • Honesty and integrity 
    • Detailed understanding of governance and decision making across the business
    • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and tool
