Business Process Engineer at Capitec Bank

• At Capitec, we're reimagining how we understand, serve and protect our clients across Personal Banking, Business Banking and Insurance. We're looking for a seasoned Senior Business Process Engineer who thrives on solving complex business challenges, designing future-state operating models and influencing strategic decision-making at an enterprise level. 
• This role suits someone who combines analytical thinking, business architecture expertise and stakeholder influence to solve meaningful enterprise challenges. You’ll shape scalable, compliant client lifecycle solutions across onboarding, due diligence, information management, risk categorisation and offboarding. 

What will you do?

• Design and optimize end-to-end business processes across the client lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
• Develop target-state operating models and business architectures that enable scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Apply a strong legal, regulatory and compliance lens to client lifecycle processes, ensuring business solutions are practical, scalable and audit ready.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives that span multiple business areas, products and stakeholder groups.
• Improve client data quality, client information management and customer relationship management capabilities.
• Influence strategic thinking by helping the organization understand how people, processes, systems and data fit together. 

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 8 years' experience in Business Engineering, Business Process Engineering, Business Architecture or a similar discipline.
• Relevant Engineering qualification, preferably Industrial Engineering or another related engineering field.
• Proven experience solving complex business challenges within large organisations.
• Experience designing and optimising business processes and operating models.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and executives.
• Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) systems. 

Technical and Domain Expertise:

• Client lifecycle management.
• Client onboarding and servicing.
• Customer relationship management.
• Data quality and client information management.
• Regulatory and compliance-driven process design.
• Business architecture and process modelling.
• Cross-functional solution design. 

What will make you stand out?
Experience in any of the following: 

• AML, KYC, FATCA/ or CRS programmes.
• Business Architecture or Capability Modelling.
• Enterprise Process Architecture.
• Regulatory transformation initiatives.
• Client due diligence or client risk management.
• Acting as a team lead, programme lead or trusted deputy within a business function.
