Business Unit Manager - Mining / Engineering Services (Steelport, Limpopo)
A leading mining and engineering services company is seeking an experienced Business Unit Manager to oversee branch operations in Steelpoort. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong operational, commercial, and technical expertise to drive growth, manage teams, and maintain key client relationships within the mining sector.
Requirements:
Proven experience in mining operations (essential)
Management experience within mining, engineering, or construction environments
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, motor engineering, and Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM)
Hands-on experience with equipment such as LHDs, underground dump trucks, drill rigs, and roof bolters
Experience managing technical teams and field service operations
Ability to manage budgets, profitability, and operational performance
Valid driver’s license
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Steelpoort, Limpopo
Advantageous:
Underground mining experience
Exposure to OEM brands like Bosch, Deutz, Mercedes-Benz, Perkins, Cummins, or BAE Systems
Strong technical trade background aligned with mining services
