• A buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business.  Duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products. 2-year experience and degree in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/ Procurement

The job at a glance

• To ensure that the correct goods are being purchased at correct quality, time of delivery, specification, price and always available 24hrs a day

What you will do

• Order stock items as per specification
• Expediting on all outstanding items
• Manage stock upliftment.
• Manage Supplier Relations
• Assisting store clerks with Stock counts
• Places orders at specified minimum level at right price and time.
• Ensure that scorecard is updated with stock availability and expected delivery date.
• Upliftment of Stock according to Material Rejection Note. 
• Discuss open order reports; artwork changes; malt changes & Supplier breakdown.
• Assist with capturing stock count

Experience and qualifications

• 3 years' experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain
• Matric
• Diploma in purchasing / supply chain management

• Stock items available on time at the right quantity and quality.
• Follows up on delivered and outstanding stock items and returns.
• Correct stock uplifted timeously.
• Suppliers briefed in time and are reacting timeously.
