- The appointment of the successful candidate at Lecturer level will be in line with the implementation of the nGAP programme that focuses on recruiting new academics on a 4-year or 6-year funded track.
- For the 4-year funded track, eligible candidates would constitute those that have already attained their doctoral degrees. Successful candidates will have a reduced 50% workload in their first two years of employment to focus on writing and building their academic careers and be expected to take up full teaching workloads in the third and fourth years of their appointment.
- For the 6-year funded track, eligible candidates would constitute those that have completed their Masters degrees, or that have already started their doctoral degrees. These candidates will be supported with a reduced workload (20%) for three years to grow their doctoral studies. - At least 3 years’ relevant experience in education programme or project-based financial environments with well-developed supervisory and engagement skills, and exposure to various aspects of finance and accounting.
- A broad knowledge and understanding of financial and management accounting principles, with proven high level analytical and interpretive abilities.
- Capability to identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities within programme portfolios.
- Experience in people management and leadership.
- Strong business partnering capability.
- Effective communication skills, negotiation skills, persuasive skills, good interpersonal skills, and well-reasoned decision-making ability.
- Having commercial acumen and an innovation mindset to think strategically and operationalise strategy into plans and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Interpret financial data, provide strategic insights, and advise Executive Education leadership on programme financial performance.
- Lead financial forecasting and coordinate the annual budgeting process with Executive Education leadership.
- Exercise professional judgement on programme financial viability, pricing recommendations, and financial risk management.
- Review, validate, and approve programme costing models and provide commercial advice on pricing and profitability.
- Chair debtor review meetings and manage strategic resolution of significant debtor issues.
- Direct line management for Senior Finance Officer & Assistant Finance Officer.
The annual remuneration package, including benefits, is between R661 967 and R778 773.
