St Stithians College is a prominent and transformative South African school, one that inspires excellence and makes a world of difference. Founded as a Methodist Church School, our Christian spirituality is central to our identity. We are an independent, non-profit institution located on an expansive green campus in Sandton, Johannesburg. St Stithians College is seeking to appoint an experienced and ambitious sports professional to build and lead the vision for Aquatics at St Stithians College and ensure that this vision is understood by all involved in the sport including pupils, staff, parents, prospective parents, and any other relevant stakeholders

Requirements
The requirements for this position are:
A relevant qualification, and experience of leading a significant aquatics programme
Experience in managing aquatics operations, associated asset, compliance, risk, and safety management, and understanding of or experience in swim programs.
A Valid First Aid Level 1 certificate,
Previous youth aquatics coaching experience.
A valid Swimming South Africa Certification will be advantageous.
Sound knowledge of aquatics education development and administration, health, and fitness programmes.
Previous proven experience and success building a youth aquatic programme.
Previous proven experience at coaching an aquatic sport at either provisional or national level.
Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
Ability to problem-solve, innovate and work collaboratively
Strong and proven relationships with Schools, Universities, Provincial and National Federations
Strong and proven experience in strategic recruitment of students and commercial acumen.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and Budget Management.
Excellent command of English (verbal and written communication)
Resilient and able to use initiative, prioritise, multi-task and able work under pressure
Ability to adapt to and cope with change
A strong appreciation of the importance of the College’s values and culture, and a willingness to work within the Methodist ethos of the College
