CAMSS DevOPs Lead at IBM

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives for automating and scaling our systems
• Participate in technical architecture design
• Improving security, reliability, and performance
• Administer, monitor, and deploy cloud-based systems
• Collaborating with application engineers to design robust systems
• Taking ownership of infrastructure projects and internal tools
• Communicate and collaborate with Product Manager, Engineers, Stakeholders, etc
• Prepare gap analysis document and / or design a proposed DevOps adoption roadmap; use to analyze the clients' IT environment for achieving better efficiency using DevOps methodology and tools in conventional or Cloud environments
• Architect the DevOps tooling infrastructure and define the interface requirements among the various tool sets
• Analyze the software build and deploy requirements for a project; portfolio or account and define the architecture using the necessary IBM and non IBM software tools like Rational RTC BuildForge or Urbancode uDeploy
• Analyze the software Deployment & Release requirements for a project; portfolio or account and design the deployment / release management strategy using the necessary IBM and non IBM software tools like Rational uRelease

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5 years’ working experience in a DevOps Capacity, preferably as a DevOps Engineer
• Experience automating the managing large-scale infrastructure
• Experience in systems automation, orchestration, deployment, and implementation.
• Experience using Jenkins and Linux as well as experience configuring and automating monitoring tools
• Experience in software development and experience working with tools and languages such as MySQL, SaaS, Git, Python, Shell scripting, Java, and MongoDB. In addition to that, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, JUnit, JMeter, SonarQube, Jira, Bitbucket skills shall be preferred
• Experience in scaling distributed data systems, for example, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, among others
• Experience with highly scalable systems, inclusive of frontend and backend websites tiers
• Keen understanding of monitoring solutions for all layers of web infrastructure
