    Caseware/Accounting Manager

    About the role

    Our Port Elizabeth Office is in need of a Caseware/Accounting Manager for a 12 month contract. To manage the Caseware team, provide an efficient service to internal customers and perform project management activities for the client assignment. 

    Responsibilities

    • Review accounting functions undertaken for a portfolio of clients, including working papers for the accounting file and resolving queries
    • Review Caseware financials of team members
    • Preparation of budgets for all financials
    • Complete all PwC Methodology and Risk Management requirements
    • Assist team members with Caseware or accounting issues
    • Preparation of billings for approval
    • Financial statement preparation using Caseware Working Papers under IFRS and IFRS for SME (including consolidations) and review the input for accuracy and completeness
    • Financial statement preparation using Excel as and when required
    • General administration, including Caseware database/department management, Connect, Workday, Performance Management in conjunction with the Senior Manager
    • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing others
    • Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality, diverse relationships and
    • Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct
    • Manage multiple medium to large-sized projects and ensure that projects are completed within the deadline, budget and scope. Including:
    • Developing detailed project plans 
    • Ensuring resource availability and assigning responsibilities to the team
    • Monitoring and summarizing progress of the project
    • Submitting weekly progress reports on project status

    • Attention to detail/Accuracy
    • Advanced working knowledge of Excel
    • Good understanding of the accounting frameworks

    Experience

    • At least 4-5 years experience; preferably in a similar role
    • Previous Accounting and Caseware experience is essential

    Required qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma or degree in Accounting
