    Cash Manager

    The Role

    As the world’s leading brewer, we at AB InBev family are always on the lookout for bold decision-makers, who are ready for responsibility and thirsty for innovation, to join our teams in Africa.  

    The key purpose of this role to is to design and review the daily strategy of operational and financial cash flows, coordinate investments of bonds/RCF proceeds, coordinate cash pooling strategy and bank deposits execution.

    So, what does a Cash Manager do?

    • Prepare and obtain relevant documentation to ensure that withholding tax requirements are accurately applied.
    • Engage with stakeholders in the business and prepare and upload information as required.
    • Analyze the general ledger line items, as well as supporting documentation to ensure that expenses have been treated correctly for tax
    • Perform analysis on general ledger transactions and provide commentary on the relating tax treatment of the transactions
    • Perform reconciliations; prepare journals and reports as per business requirements
    • Present and implement corrective action and preventive action for recurring process related issues
    • Perform Root Cause analysis for recurring or high severity issues resulting in issue reduction
    • Identify automation opportunities to improve the way we operate and work closely with technology to leverage system functionalities to improve the process
    • Adhere to internal control protocols and provide information as required to internal and external audit
    • Meet weekly and monthly targets and all SLA’s and KPI’s
    • Share information as it relates to business requirements. Help the team and Team Lead in identifying process improvements, excellence and process efficiency opportunities. Present to the Team Lead key challenges, insights and work-around. Trouble shoot issues and share improvement ideas with Team Lead
    • Maintenance of role training documentation. Assisting in knowledge transfer to new employees within the role

    The ideal candidate is someone who has a minimum of 3 years treasury experience, an Accounting qualification optional.
