    Category Projects Co-Ordinator - Baby

    Introduction

    • To maximise the efficiency of the departments' buying processes by ensuring effective communication and administration. Providing analytical support into product performance, promotional sell through, range reviews and category performance. Support projects co-ordination of new stores and product assortments and visual merchandising.

    Job description

    • To administratively manage and support all aspects of the Merchandise critical paths, e.g., accurate new lines listing, product development process, tracking promotions and sign-off with the buyer, loading and maintaining Co-Ops, imports, Letter of Authority’s and new store openings.
    • To liaise with Standalone stores, Store in Stores, Operations and Vendors with regards to New Stores, pricing queries, product availability, promotions, in-store campaigns, activations and action these requests or issues timeously.
    • To physically set up of new stores with regards to Visual Merchandising, Showroom Set up and POS Set up.
    • To co-ordinate internal marketing activities (including ClubCard & Store Openings) and to manage the control and review of marketing and omni-channel samples, images and pricing of promoted items, both internally (BTB, Club card, Red-line, Brand Managers) and externally (vendors).
    • To build promotional calendars and campaigns for Standalone stores, Store in Stores and Online.
    • To co-ordinate Showroom updates on samples, updating ticketing and designing QR Codes.
    • To prepare and complete the Merchandising manual for sign off by Buyers as per the Buyers brief.
    • To prepare and complete monthly Visual Merchandise principals and displays for hard line promotions and special events
    • To obtain the supplier confirmation and submit TEM Bill backs to maintain and improve the profitability of the category.
    • To perform weekly analysis of new product launches within category against Key Performance Indicators to provide key insights for scorecard and key reporting functions i.e. outstanding order reports, promotions sell through etc.
    • To perform the monthly analysis of Price Indexing and Competitor updates with monthly inputs into Brand Monitor and Business Reviews.
    • To assist in ensuring speed to market in listing new products by timeously submitting accurate new line forms and cost and sell price information to the relevant teams.
    • To administer and maintain the product database, e.g. listing products, manage multiple vendor types, product status etc.
    • To co-ordinate and track supplier in-store promotion/product activation process.
    • To co-ordinate and maintain in-store training & manuals with Hardware and Accessories vendors.
    • To manage general office administration (filing, account queries, minute taking) and ad hoc duties as required by the department.
    • To co-ordinate enhancements from approval of initiative to implementation.
    • To effectively coordinate internal and or external resources to complete planned tasks.
    • To manage meeting agenda, issue log, minutes and project artefacts for project forums.

    Minimum requirements

    Job Knowledge

    Essential:

    • 1-2 years administrative process
    • 1 year Knowledge of buying and planning principles
    • Knowledge of query resolution
    • Project Coordination skills
    • Delivering projects experience
    • Strong scheduling skills
    • Knowledge of MS Office products

    Desirable

    • Knowledge of Project management tools
    • Change management processes experience
    • Project Management Methodology
    • Project financials skills

    Job Experience

    Essential:

    • 1-2 years administrative retail experience (Essential)/ or successful completion of a Merchandise Graduate Programme
    • Previous experience as a Category Assistant
    • Previous experience working with critical paths and project deadlines 

    Desirable

    • At least 2 years of Project Coordination experience

    Education:

    Essential:

    • Undergraduate degree or diploma in business or other relevant discipline or in process of obtaining

    Desirable

    • B Degree or Diploma in Retail, Purchasing Management or similar
