    Change Manger: ICT - Fixed Term Contract (24 Months)

    The purpose of the ICT Change Manager role is to provide change management support to ICT projects from a technical point of view as well as helping people adapt to organisational and systems changes. The change support will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, and technologies, with an emphasis on onsite system implementations. This role will co-create and deliver strategies and plans to help employees maximise the adoption of the newly implemented systems by honing methods of aeffective and sustained behaviour change.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Change Management:

    • Plan and implement change management initiatives related to systems’ business processes and technology.
    • Drive adoption and proficiency of changes within projects in compliance with the specifically selected Change Management methodologies (PROSCI / ADKAR / AIM/AGILE, etc).
    • Co-create project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communication support, change impact assessments, leadership alignment, change measurement, capability transfer and management of Client Change Support Team, and super-user training.
    • Support team execution in accordance with project plans, tools, and methods.
    • Facilitate meetings with clients to ensure an understanding of the client cultures, and jointly support the development of change adoption plans.
    • Provide support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through implementation.
    • Provide support and coaching to Change Agent/Champions Networks as they support the system implementations.
    • Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand and ensure adoption of the system implementations.
    • Management of small to medium change teams across projects.
    • Develop, apply and maintain a change management toolkit to support change management initiatives across the organisation
    • Conduct the requisite consultations and stakeholder analysis and engagements at the designated levels to enable effective organisational change management
    • Collaborate with and capacitate the Change Network, Change Sponsors, business leaders, human capital business partners and all other relevant stakeholders to drive and embed change solutions across the entire organisation.
    • Apply behavioural tools to assess the impact of change on organisation, using assessments of organisational culture, performance and readiness for change.
    • Define and facilitate the implementation of activities to support change, transition initiatives and projects.
    • Develop and facilitate the implementation of tactics and tools for change communication, resistance, risk mitigation, coaching, training and accountability to reinforce adoption of change.
    • Obtain data to measure and analyse awareness, understanding, buy-in and support of organisation and business changes.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Establish, build and maintain collaborative working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.
    • Scan the environment and proactively interact with stakeholders to determine their needs and deliver on them accordingly.
    • Communicate the performance and talent strategy to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of these by all relevant stakeholders.
    • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate performance barriers and success in order to continuously improve on the service delivery.
    • Work in collaboration with colleagues in the centre/business unit/portfolio to ensure timeous delivery of work/projects.
    • Establish and maintain relations with recognised professional bodies within own professional sphere.
    • Manage service level agreements (SLAs).

    People Management:

    • Manage own performance.
    • Participate in the BU’s transformation, culture, and diversity and employment equity initiatives.
    • Commit to continuous learning and advancing of one’s skills to remain abreast with industry trends.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Perform and/or manage other projects, tasks and assignments not stipulated on the Job description as and when required.

    Skills, Experience & Education

    Formal Education:

    • Relevant B Degree or relevant National Diploma

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years change management experience, with comprehensive understanding of change management deliverables and best practice principles.
    • Knowledge of AGSA mandate and audit environments will be an added advantage.
