Chef Lecturer - Port Elizabeth at ADvTECH

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:

Responsible for teaching activities and ensuring the delivery of the set course curriculum in alignment with Capsicum Culinary Studio (CCS) policies and the philosophy of individuality and excellence in culinary arts.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Coordinating, mentoring, and assisting students with both theory and practical studies while cultivating their individual creative spirit.
• Managing student discipline and handling formal correspondence related to student conduct.
• Ensuring the implementation and adherence to policies and processes as outlined by legislation, accreditation bodies, and Capsicum Culinary Studio.
• Managing food and kitchen items, including ordering, purchasing, receiving, and controlling costs and stock in accordance with CCS guidelines.
• Planning and participating in promotional and culinary events.
• Coordinating all aspects of student assessments.

• Assessor Qualification.

Training:

• Management & Leadership.
• Computer literacy.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Culinary arts & Industry courses to stay updated with developments in the specialty area.

Experience:

• 2 years of City & Guilds Culinary Arts syllabus lecturing experience.
