Grade 12 plus a 3-year B Degree in Fleet Management, Transport Management/Transport Economics/Logistics Management/Public Management/Administration/or a related field (NQF LEVEL 7 as recognized by SAQA), plus extensive work experience in the related field, of which 5 years’ experience should be at SMS Level (Transport). A valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
Providing strategic leadership in the management of Government vehicle fleets. Overseeing the management, maintenance, and safekeeping of Government’s motor fleet assets. Effective management of Government contracts.
Ensuring compliance with relevant Public Service legislation, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations. Developing transport management policies, guidelines, and best practices.
Establish and maintain Governance and Administrative system for the Chief Directorate. Management of risks, budget, expenditure, human resources, strategic planning, and audit issues.
