    Job Description

    • A leading organization is seeking an experienced Chief Economist to drive market growth and sustainability. Based in Durban, this role involves economic research, market analysis, policy development, and strategic advocacy locally and internationally. Relocation assistance is provided

    Requirements:

    • Honours/Master's in Economics, Trade Policy, or related fields
    • 5-8 years' experience in agriculture in sectors like fruit, grain, and related commodities, in a Management or Executive level role
    • Expertise in trade agreements (SACU, SADC) and market analysis
    • Strong strategic, financial, and stakeholder management skills
