Chief Information Officer at National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS)

KPA/ Key outputs:-

• Alignment of ICT strategies with the organisational strategies
• Direct all ICT Operational and Project Management Initiatives
• Provide an accurate account of technology asset lifecycle costs and risks to maximize the business value of technology strategy, architecture, funding, contractual and sourcing decisions
• Overall responsibility for management of lifecycles of ICT policies and procedures as well as all processes that pertain to creation, review, approval and publishing of such policies and / or procedures
• Ensure compliance and develop risk management processes
• Manage effectively and efficiently the ICT resources and processes to facilitate the achievement of organisational strategic objectives
• Management of all human and financial resources within area of control.

Requirements
Requirements/ Experience: -

• Honours degree or equivalent in Business Information System Management or in Computer Science.
• Masters’ degree in a related field would be an added advantage 10 years’ experience in an ICT environment of which 5 years in a managerial position

Knowledge and Skills: -

• In-depth knowledge of strategic planning and execution, In-depth knowledge of contracting and change management, In depth knowledge of information technology computer systems and software, In-depth knowledge of ICT risk management, Knowledge of PFMA principles and practices,
• Knowledge of principles and practices around personnel management, Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework, Report writing skills, Project management
