ABOUT FIX FORWARD

Fix Forward is a social enterprise that creates opportunities for contractors by connecting them with customers, online. It’s an exciting start-up, driven by purpose. The role we’d like to fill is COO, but with a view for the person to ultimately take on the role of CEO.

As a social enterprise, we aim to help build an equal and just society by creating opportunities for contractors from low-income communities to develop and thrive. Our non-profit organisation runs an entrepreneur development programme for the contractors, including workshops, coaching and mentoring. We are looking for someone to build on the strong foundation of the last 7 years and take us to the next level of success and impact.

After testing a number of different business models, we believe our current model is the most effective for growing a scalable business. Our strong CRM system integrates website leads and cloud accounting. We have a solid base of contractors across Cape Town and central Gauteng.

We work with an exceptional digital marketing agency who are poised to launch into rapid growth. Our brand identity is strong, and our compelling website showcases our value proposition and purpose. The development programme in our NPO is changing the lives of our contractors and accelerating their businesses.

WHERE TO FROM HERE?

We are looking for a COO to help launch the company to the next level. The key opportunities we’d like to pursue from here are:

• Ensuring that the following business and operational processes are scalable:

1. Contractor recruitment
2. Contractor performance management
3. Client services processes
4. Contractor and client dispute management

• Assessing what technology we need to scale and putting that in place
• Engaging more with customers and contractors to understand how the company can add more value to increase loyalty
• Developing a robust growth strategy with sound projections, monitored using strong business performance metric tools
• Developing and implementing a team strategy with strong internal performance incentives and review processes
• Reviewing comms and PR activities and putting a strong strategy in place to execute
• Establishing value-add partnerships with suppliers or start-ups
