As a Chrome Originator, your role is to ensure that the company secures a steady and cost-effective supply of chrome, manage relationships and logistics effectively, complies with regulatory standards, and strategically navigates market conditions to support overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Relationships:
Develop and maintain relationships with chrome producers, mining companies, and other suppliers\
Negotiate contracts and terms of supply, ensuring favourable conditions for the company
Sourcing and Procurement:
Identify and evaluate potential sources of chrome
Manage the procurement process, including issuing requests for quotes (RFQs), assessing bids, and assist in finalizing contracts
Logistics Coordination:
Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and delivery of chrome
Address and resolve any logistical challenges or disruptions that arise
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communications with suppliers
Prepare reports on procurement activities, market trends, and performance metrics
Minimum requirements:
A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
Proven experience in the specific commodity market
Strong understanding of market trends, economic factors affecting supply and demand, and commodity-specific data
Proficiency in financial software, market analytics tools, and standard office applications
