Civil Structural Engineer at Worley

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

• To assist the Lead or Senior Civil or Structural Engineer to carry out all civil or structural engineering and design work in accordance with agreed codes and practices that meets all requirements of the contract. Also, to assist the Lead or Senior Civil or Structural Engineer in ensuring all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures in a safe manner.
• To conduct engineering and design work in accordance with Worley’ EMS and WPMP under the supervision of a Senior or Lead Civil or Structural Engineer, as per the requirements set out in the RSA Technical Stewardship plan.
• Seconded to projects in relevant sector to gain experience and become familiar with the Worley procedures and methods of doing work. Take part in site-based work if the opportunity presents.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

• Technical Expertise: Provide comprehensive basic engineering and design services in support of the Civil or Structural Engineering team on projects.
• Project Execution: Support the Civil or Structural Engineering team on projects to complete all engineering deliverables and reviews within the project time frame and man-hour budget.
• Review and comment on vendor data (including equipment and packages) for compliance to purchase order / contract requirements as well as to integrate equipment into the broader plant.
• Liaison with other project discipline engineers as required on projects and fosters a productive working relationship to ensure that technically acceptable solutions are devised and implemented within the available man hours by the scheduled dates.
• Technical Stewardship and SEAL Compliance: Familiarization with the RSA Technical Stewardship Plan specified engineering codes, standards, procedures, quality plans and Worley policies and procedures.

 

Essential Skills/Experience

Skills/ Competencies:

• Solid understanding of engineering concepts and application of knowledge.
• Basic understanding of national, industry codes and standards and client specifications.

Experience

• Minimum 7+ years (HND), 5+ years (BSc/BTech) or 3 years (MSc) of post qualification experience.

Education:

• Minimum BSc, BTech, HND or MSc in related field or applicable discipline, typically a Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent experience if allowed by law.
• Registered as a Candidate Engineer or Candidate Engineering Technologist with ECSA.
