Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years’ cleaning experience, or a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ cleaning experience.
Cleaning experience in a hospital /clinical environment will be an added advantage. Must be computer literate, have knowledge of cleaning procedures, OHS Acts, and record keeping.
Be prepared to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and rotate to various sections. Ability to communicate effectively, have interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Must be reliable and punctual.
Duties :
Supervise Cleaners. Daily inspection to ensure hygiene and cleanliness. Manage and ensure maintenance of cleaning material and equipment. Ensure maintenance and replacement of cleaning machines and equipment. Order, receive and issue cleaning material (Stock control). Ensure compliance with Ideal Hospital, IPC measures, and waste management procedure.
Draw a job description and enter into a performance contract with subordinates. Evaluate the performance of subordinates as per PMDS guidelines. Effective handling of conflicts. Compile the monthly report. Carry any lawful instruction given by an authorized person.
