Grade 10 /Abet NQF level 3 certificate/equivalent. A minimum of at least 3 years relevant and proven cleaning experience. An appropriate experience in a hospital will serve as advantage.
Must possess the ability to plan, organise, supervise, inspect and evaluate work of subordinates. Working knowledge of operating and taking care of cleaning machine and equipment.
Good knowledge of OHS and infection control. Be prepared to work shifts including weekend, public holiday and nightshift. Be able to work under pressure.
Duties :
Manage the human capital. Supervision of the cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standard of cleanliness and performance, ensuring that a first –class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the hospital. Attend to clients, operational managers and HODs request and complaints. Carry out induction procedures with all new staff.
Check cleaning equipment condition and report to the senior manager. Check work done by the cleaners and do continuously checklist in the department. Implement work plan and cleaning schedule is adhering to. Submit all documents that need HR, make sure performance agreements are signed by all employees. Perform any other lawful duties delegated by the manager.
