Represent the Department in disputes and facilitate the acquisition of evidence and witness for arbitration matters.
- Facilitate labour-related programmes, collective bargaining, grievance resolution and dispute management processes in the district. Respond to complaints, grievances and appeals adhering to all regulatory, accreditation and internal processing timelines and guidelines. Co-ordinate and participate in the District Consultative Forum.
- Conduct research on case law, adjudication trends and developments in labour law and labour relations. Prepare and submit reports on grievances, misconduct cases and disputes to Head Office as per the frequency required. Represent the Department in mediation, conciliation and arbitration matters. Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Ensure effective and efficient management of human, physical and financial resources within the Unit. Coach and guide staff on compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements :
- Grade 12 . Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice 425, i.e diploma/ degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification as a Professional Nurse, plus a post basic qualification with the duration of least 1 year in Oncology Nursing Science.
- A minimum of 9 years appropriate / recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing.
- At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate /recognizable experience in the relevant discipline , after obtaining the one year post basic qualification in Oncology Nursing Science.
- Degree /Diploma in Child Nursing Science registered with the SANC will be an added advantage. Diploma/degree in Nursing Management or equivalent qualification registered with the SANC.
- South African Nursing Council annual practising certificate. Update service certificates are compulsory. Valid drivers license. Computer literate. Strong leadership, good communication and sound interpersonal skills are necessary.

- Co-ordination of optimal , holistic specialized nursing care provided within set standards and a professional /legal framework . Manage effectively the utilization and supervision of Human , Financial and service resources,. Co-ordination of the provision of effective training and research. Provision of effective support to Nursing Services.
- Maintain Professional growth/ethical standards and development of self and subordinates. Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, and other relevant legal frameworks such as: Nursing Act, Health Act, Occupational Helath and Safety Act, Patient Rights Charter, Batho-Pele principles, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Disciplinary Code and Procedure, Grievance Procedure, ect.

Requirements :
- Grade 12/National Senior certificate, a basic R425 qualification, a diploma/degree in nursing equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic qualification with a duration of at least one year, accredited with SANC in Theatre Specialty. Current registration with SANC.
- A minimum of 4 years of appropriate/recognized experience in nursing after registration as a professional nurse with SANC in general nursing.
- COMPETENCIES: Good communication skills, verbal and written communication skills. Have knowledge of ideal hospital realization and maintenance framework, and computer literacy.
Duties :
- Perform a clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and required nursing standards. Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practises. Promote specialised quality of nursing care as directed by professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility.
- Able to plan and organise own work and ensure proper nursing care. Demonstrate effective communications with patients, supervisors and other stake holders including report writing when required.
- Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Work effectively, co-operatively amicably with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences.
- Display a concern for patients, promoting proper treatment and care including awareness and willingness to respond to patient’s needs, requirements and expectations (Batho Pele).
- Develop and implement quality assurance program, policies, operational plan, standard operating procedures and guidelines for the unit. Improve quality care through reduction of patient’s complaints and waiting time.
- Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standard as determined by the institution and other regulating bodies.
