Close Protection Officer/Driver at Fidelity Services Group

Job Purpose/Overview:

• As a Close Protection Officer, you will be responsible for providing protection and security to clients who may be at risk of potential threats or harm.  You will be tasked with assessing risks, planning and implementing security measures, and providing a safe environment for the client at all times.  This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and physical fitness, as well as strong observational and communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Grade A PSIRA accredited and registered.
• CPO Training and Certificates / Armed Response Training and Certificates.
• Previous experience in close protection, law enforcement, or military background.
• Valid Code 8/10 Drivers License with a PDP-Professional Driving Permit. 
• Advance Driver Training.
• Strong physical fitness and proficiency in defensive tactics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities (Not Totally Inclusive):

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement security plans to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of the client.
• Provide close protection to the client at all times, including during travel, public appearances, and other activities.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness and be prepared to respond quickly to any potential threats or emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and client to coordinate security measures.
• Monitor and assess potential security threats, such as suspicious individuals or activities.
• Ensure the client's safety and well-being through constant vigilance and proactive security measures.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information or situations.
• Provide support and assistance to the client as needed, including escorting them to and from locations, managing crowds, and controlling access to restricted areas.
