Essential Functions

O365

• Identity management auditing and licence reviews
• Security and Compliance
• Implement and manage security policies.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Configure and manage compliance features to meet regulatory requirements.

Email Administration

• Manage and configure Exchange Online, including mailboxes and distribution lists.
• Implement and manage email protection measures, such as anti-spam and anti-malware.

SharePoint and OneDrive Management

• Configure and manage SharePoint sites and document libraries.
• Control access permissions for SharePoint and OneDrive resources.

Teams

• Configure and manage policies for Microsoft Teams.

Govern and manage Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate usage.

• Ensure compliance and security of Power Platform applications.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

• Configure and manage DLP policies to prevent unauthorized data disclosure.

Reporting and Monitoring

• Monitor service health and performance.
• Generate reports on usage, compliance, and security.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 services.
• Provide support to end-users and other IT teams.
• Integrate Microsoft 365 with other cloud services and on-premises solutions as required.

Azure

Azure Resource Deployment:

• Assist in deploying and configuring Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and databases.
• Follow best practices for resource provisioning.

Identity and Access Management:

• Help manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) users and groups.
• Assist in configuring and troubleshooting access controls, including role-based access control (RBAC).

Networking

• Support basic networking tasks, such as configuring virtual networks and subnets.
• Assist in setting up and troubleshooting network security groups and virtual network gateways.

Monitoring and Logging

• Assist in setting up monitoring solutions for Azure resources.
• Monitor and analyse logs to identify and troubleshoot issues.

Security

• Support the implementation of security policies and best practices.
• Assist in configuring and monitoring Azure Security Centre.

Virtual Machine Management

• Support the creation, configuration, and management of virtual machines in Azure.
• Assist with virtual machine scale sets and availability sets.

Automation and Scripting

• Learn and use Azure PowerShell or Azure CLI for automating repetitive tasks.
• Assist in the creation of automation scripts for resource provisioning and management.

Cost Management

• Monitor resource consumption and costs.
• Assist in optimizing resource usage for cost efficiency.
• Budget configuration and monitoring.

Learning and Professional Development

• Stay updated on Azure services, features, and best practices.
• Pursue relevant certifications and training opportunities.

Troubleshooting and Support

• Provide support for Azure-related issues.
• Collaborate with senior administrators to resolve complex problems.

Compliance and Governance

• Assist in implementing and enforcing compliance policies.
• Learn and apply governance best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric or equivalent
• Certification (Azure \ AWS)Three to five years of experience in maintaining and supporting a Microsoft environment.
• Strong record of completed projects across various computing platforms.Functional knowledge of network topologies.
• Experience in Cloud technical specification planning, design, and capacity scoping.
