Cloud Data Engineer at Praesignis

Job Description

• Our banking client is seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms. The successful candidate will build and maintain high-performance data solutions that support analytics, machine learning and real-time reporting across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Develop data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Support Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and real-time data ingestion.
• Implement DataOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ensure data quality, governance, security and metadata management.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Architects and Software Engineers.
• Provide production support and continuously improve data engineering practices.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–5+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence.
