Communications Specialist at Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited

Role Purpose    

• The Communications Specialist will be central to implementing creative communication strategies and plans. These strategies will encapsulate clear and engaging messaging to our diverse client base and stakeholders, conforming with our corporate identity and regulatory requirements. 

Requirements    

• A degree in Communication, Marketing, Language Studies, Journalism or a related field. 
• 4  years’ experience in marketing and communication in the financial services industry, specifically in client communication or public relations. 
• Proven track record in creative communication execution. 
• Proficient in using modern communication technology and tools, including familiarity with using social media platforms (eg Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook etc) 
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills. 
• Knowledge and understanding of financial and investment principles will be an added advantage. 
• Design skills will be an added advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Implement strategic communication plans catering to diverse audiences. 
• Creating ideal client experiences through pro-active and system-driven client communication in both English and Afrikaans. 
• Draft, edit, and curate captivating content across various platforms and media, ensuring it communicates with clients and stakeholders effectively and efficiently. 
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that communications are creative, innovative, and aligned with all departments. 
• Stay updated with the latest communication technology and trends to enhance our communication models and processes. 
• Adhere to corporate identity guidelines and regulatory requirements in all communications. 
• Support the PR Manager in developing a public relations plan and calendar to effectively plan and manage Momentum Investments public relations initiatives for the year.
• Collaborate and contribute to broader marketing initiatives, ensuring PR visibility and alignment with marketing campaigns.
• Draft standard responses to a variety of media queries and develop standard media statements and briefs. Work with relevant service providers to effectively respond to media queries relating to Momentum Investments.
• Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of public relations events and initiatives.
• Write and edit articles to ensure media friendly articles for best opportunities in the media.
• Produce content to post on social media platforms and publish posts according to social media calendars.
• Build and design mailers according to specifications and communications calendar in various communication systems.
