A CMI Executive for our SSA Consumer Products Team at Givaudan and to be based in our South Africa office - Your future position?

Our CP teams work together to create the success that Givaudan enjoys and brings together a variety of skills - creation and evaluation, consumer market research, marketing, sampling, sales, customer relations, and QC, and we have a selection of important competencies present in each region.
We are expanding our Consumer Products Team for the SAMEA region and recruiting for a ‘CMI Executive’, to be based in our South Africa office, to focus on consumer products segment.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:
Market research:
Perform market research according to the regional or cross-regional projects developed by management.
Project Management of basic and advanced market research projects regarding:
Set-Up* Management of Data Analysis* Performing advanced data analysis
Collaborate in research project design.
Work with management in planning new research projects and developing ways to gather data most appropriate for the relevant project.
Collect secondary data regarding customer habits, purchasing history, previous, current and expected future needs.
Collect market data regarding competition activity, recent market developments, and trends in the industry.
Analyze gathered data through advanced statistical analysis and qualitative analysis tools.
Prepare results summary in the form of reports or presentations.
Translate complex findings into visually compelling presentations based on storytelling techniques
Ensure CMI data is stored centrally and accessible for future reference.
Design research Projects:
Collaborate with management in planning new research projects and develop ways to gather and analyse data most appropriate for the relevant project.

Your professional profile includes:
University Degree / Masters Degree (Statistics, Market Research, Marketing)
At least 2+ years in market research (industry/customer side and/or market research agency): Relevant coursework and/or experience working in quantitative or qualitative research, consumer insights, consumer research, or in analysis/strategy
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal command of English
Aptitude for statistics, understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics (proficient in Excel, SPSS, XL Stat)
Functional Skills:
Market Research Skills
Has some market research experience in the domain of consumer goods. (ideal)
In-depth understanding of the principles of qualitative and quantitative market research
Project Management
Developing expertise in planning, leading and communicating all functional steps in CMI projects
Statistics and Analysis
Use inferential statistics to interpret and explain/convey data (PowerPoint slide creation for proposals, analytic plans, client deliverables, etc.)
Using statistical software to analyze data
Market Knowledge
Building knowledge of market dynamics and trends for specific country, segment, category, or geographic area.
Basic understanding of fragrances (olfactory families, main benchmarks)
