Location: Remote, based anywhere in South Africa
Pay rate: $6.50 USD per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Contract: 6 month initially (with a view to extend)

We are looking for someone passionate about education and helping those teaching in South Africa. As an Afrikaans content editor, you will be responsible for editing original teacher content created by our Content Writers to address the CAPS curriculum in South Africa, specifically for preschool and Grades R-9. The successful candidate will ensure that our Afrikaans content is grammatically correct and aligned with the Twinkl brand and Twinkl South Africa guidelines.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Editing original and innovative Afrikaans content.
You’ll work closely with:
- The Country Manager for South Africa.
- A friendly team of Content Writers and Editors
- The designers and illustrators
Requirements
Core skills:
- Excellent Afrikaans language knowledge and skills
- Experience in the field of education.
- Working knowledge of the South African Curriculum;
- An exceptional eye for detail;
- Thrives working in a change-focused and dynamic environment;
- Strong computer and online skills,
- Passionate about making a difference in South Africa;,
- Creative;
- Proactive in improving and learning new skills.
Soft Skills:
- Is good fun to be with and can communicate well with others in English and Afrikaans;

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualifications: Completed degree in education (Not TEFL or similar).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years classroom experience, currently teaching or classroom teaching within the last 12 months.
