The Content Strategist will be responsible for constructing a cohesive content strategy with a focus on user or consumer journey and persona development. Working closely with the Digital Marketing and Creative Studio teams, you will be required to plan, oversee and execute the strategy from start to end. Supported by the Marketing and Creative team, you will be responsible for aligning our various brand narratives with the team’s content strategies. You will also play the role of a creative and an editor, as you conceptualise and produce content assets that resonate with viewers across earned, owned and paid platforms, with the aim of driving business goals.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Cultivate content marketing strategies targeted at driving traffic, engagement, generating leads, delivering sales, retaining customers and building brand awareness.
Work with The Marketing and Creative Studio team to deliver content assets that are coherent with the product brand voice and strategy.
Track and advance the marketing and social calendar, and regularly measure and distill progress results to apply data-driven insights to future content strategies.
Apply SEO, content development, distribution and measurement to effectively tailor content to reach audience personas.
Manage digital and social content channels including email or newsletter distribution, with the understanding of the best content practices on each channel.
Create and edit content, mobilising storytelling opportunities on all channels — owned, earned and paid platforms.
Work with and manage a junior copywriter to produce content for social, editorial, and web communications.
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.
Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the product specific target audience and drives action.
Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics to suit the product vertical or specific audience.
Create and edit digital content for target audiences across all multimedia and social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, Mailchimp and Klaviyo.
Experience with SEO tools.
Collaborate with content management teams, creative teams, writers to implement the strategy.
Oversee writing style and tone for all content.
Develop content governance guidelines for tone, style, and voice of all content, and ensure they are followed.
Tertiary education from a qualified institution with at least 3-5 years experience.
Exceptional writing and research skills.
Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability.
Excellent understanding of the English language.
Digital Marketing experience.
