Contract and Commercial Management Specialist at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting the business representatives by assisting the departments in identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions, driving improved supplier service levels whilst managing the contract life cycle.

Experience
Min:

• 5 years’ experience working in a strategic Procurement role
• Spend managed > R100m
• Management of multiple categories
• Exposure to analysis and presenting of findings in reports, forecasts, trends, and recommendations to the team and senior management

Ideal:

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Procurement Specialist in a corporate retail or manufacturing environment.
• Spend managed > R300m
• 7-10 years’ experience working in a strategic Procurement role
• Experience in the budgeting process and managing compliance to budget
• Experience in the management of supplier relationships

Qualifications (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant degree

Knowledge
Min:

• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in procurement (not buying), driving cost savings and improving terms and conditions

Ideal:

• 10 years and more
