Contracts and Claims Manager at Datacentrix

A multinational company is looking for a Contract and Claim Manager on a 12 months contract to interface legally with business on complex legal matters in compilation of compensation claim and events in NEC, FIDIC as well a contract litigation to ensure company rights are protected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Engineering or B Com
• 10 + years’ Experience in NEC3 and FIDIC contracts
• 10 + years’ Experience in contract litigation
• 10 + years’ Experience with Electrical Installation Contracts

 CORE FUNCTION:

• Administration - Support project managers with compilation of compensation events/claims. (NEC3, FIDIC, and bespoked contracts)
• Contract Documents - Support project managers with claim strategy, project management plan, highlight of time bars related to individual contracts.
• Support – Support project managers with Compensation Events, Early Warnings, back to back subcontracts
• Contract Meetings - Attendance of contract related meetings, negotiation of settlements where applicable
• Legal – Interfacing with legal on complex matters to ensure company rights are protected.
• Training – Must be able to give training on general contract management principals, negotiation skills , FIDIC and NEC
• Lessons Learned – Identify common mistakes made by project managers and flag these to management to enforce a culture change.
