    Control Room Operator Protection Services

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 / Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and PSIRA Grade C registration.

    The Appointee should:

    • Be In possession of a NQF 4 / Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
    • Have PSIRA Grade C registration.
    • Have a Minimum 1 year experience in a Security Control Room within a mining environmen
    • Have a Valid Code EB driver’s licence with proven ability to operate a vehicle
    • Have a SAPS issued Firearm Competency Certificate.
    • Be Computer literacy – MS Office Suite
    • Have strong observation and situational awareness abilities to detect irregularities, breaches and risks.
    • Have the ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
    • Have the ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain focus in high risk environments.
    • Must be able to work independently and within a team on rotational shifts
    • Have a Clear security screening record
    • Must be willing to undergo periodic and random polygraph examinations and achieve a No Deception result
    • Be declared medically fit for the position, as determined by a risk based examination conducted at a Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Effectively utilize Control Room systems (CCTV, alarms, communication platforms) to identify and respond to incidents
    • Monitor and operate all Control Room systems to detect security risks and procedural breaches
    • Identify and escalate incidents, providing accurate, real time intelligence to response teams
    • Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure the safety of responding personnel.
    • Perform duties on a daily rotating shift basis (morning, day, afternoon, night).
    • Guide response teams, providing real time updates to enhance response safety and improve arrest potential.
    • Document incidents accurately and maintain records according to company procedures
    • Ensure compliance with all Protection Services standards, policies, and operational protocols
