    Administrator Financial Operations

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults).

    The Appointee should:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Audits Visit sites and equipment locations on the mine and undertake equipment audits and inspections in respect to engineering workmanship, quality and compliance with engineering policies, procedures and standards. Proof and evaluate compliance of the maintenance application to legal and statutory regulations, standards, codes of practice, specifications and standard operating procedures. Attest and direct remediation of deviations to standard technical, maintenance and operating practices. Assess key maintenance functions to ascertain whether they efficiently and effectively support the operations. Determine and recommend improvements to the maintenance processes from the audit findings. Identify control procedures to use to ensure each key risk for equipment type is properly controlled and monitored. Report problems identified and initiate action plans to address the problems. Follow up on reported findings at appropriate intervals and ensure remedial actions have been done or in progress, maintain a tracking database for this purpose. Give objective assessment of performance relative to best practice. Appraise equipment and associated systems with assurance that they are fit for purpose. Assists in addressing all key elements of asset management strategy using KPIs. Facilitates cross functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance.
    • Standards Enforcement and Quality Assurance Assist in establishing programs to maintain and improve the quality of maintenance and the maintenance systems employed to minimize unplanned downtime on key equipment. Directs maintenance personnel to continuously evaluate compliance and strict adherence to the established procedures and policies. Assist in establishing a monitoring system to measure maintenance quality and improvement initiatives. Provide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups in order to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance function. o Interface with regulatory agencies for complaint investigation and technical interchanges to present the company viewpoint, and during regulatory inspections serve as the subject matter expert. Assist in establishing cross functional teams to address cleaning, lubrication and first line maintenance functions
    • Analysis and Improvement :Assess equipment criticality and performance trends analysis to assure systemic problems are identified and make the necessary decisions or changes to current maintenance practices to remedy and fix the problems arising. Facilitates failure analysis techniques for cross functional teams. Participate in incident investigations (SIRs, Safety etc.). Drive corrective actions to systemic problems that directly impact on the production process and improve overall maintenance effectiveness. Identifies significant recurring failure patterns by analysing maintenance history. Ensures that preventative actions are implemented to ensure cost effective maintenance programs. Makes formalized recommendations to engineers.
    • Planning and Scheduling Facilitates a three to five-year maintenance management strategy for the operations. Liaises with planned maintenance officers to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation in accordance win the established priorities. Monitors compliance to maintenance schedules and programs interventions to remedy deviations. Assist with the preparation of schedules and the supervision of major works/shutdowns. Assist with the development of the critical spares and sub assembly register for all equipment on the operations.
    • Information Management :Ensures that equipment data, nomenclature, descriptions, component serialisation are correct as captured in the ERP System. Updates technical manuals and documents as appropriate. Develops equipment and process performance parameters for monitoring purposes. Continuously reviews equipment task lists in the ERP- SAP system in light of maintenance improvements, equipment developments and modifications. Participation and representation in relevant forums. Keep up to date with the latest technology available.
    • Early Equipment Management :Provide direction and participates in new equipment specifications. Conducts RCM exercises for all new equipment before commissioning establishing the maintenance strategies and task lists to be adopted. Participate in Group wide RCM template development and review for primary production equipment and review for primary production equipment.
    • Maintenance Facilities and Tools :Identifies and establishes the special tools required to perform the identified maintenance tasks to be carried out. Ensures compliance to MHSA, OHSA and domestic requirements in all maintenance facilities provided. Ensure that workshops have been upgraded to comply to existing best practice with workshop standards, environmental control and material flow. Support a housekeeping program. Determines, in conjunction with Supervisors, that all facilities and tools are adequate for basic maintenance tasks.

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 / Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and PSIRA Grade C registration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Asset Management Strategy Asset Management Strategy Assisting with medium-to-long term maintenance and asset management strategy implementation for the mine/plant. Addressing all key elements of the Asset Management Strategy using KPI’s. Facilitating and participating in the Asset Management assessments. Participating in safety maintenance audits. Assisting with maintenance cost analysis and make recommendations to change equipment that is not cost effective. Conducting quality assurance audits of maintenance feedback information, maintenance schedules and reports to ensure alignment and reliability.
    • Planning & Scheduling Preparing, prioritising and distributing maintenance job cards (scheduled work). Ensuring that maintenance schedules are agreed upon by production and engineering. Evaluating and reviewing of scheduled work impacted by unforeseen events. (Break-in work that affected approved Master Schedule) Liaising with the stakeholders to obtain updates on progress associated with maintenance tasks and update planning if necessary. Ensuring that capacity planning is done daily, which includes both preventative as well as corrective maintenance tasks. Assist in planning work and measuring resources for shutdowns including scheduling of shutdown planning meetings and postmortem meetings. Ensuring that planned shutdown activities follow pre-set targets in accordance with critical path analysis. Supporting supervisors in creating, updating and complying with year plans. Ensure recommended actions from Significant Incident Reports (SIRs), RCA investigations etc. are recorded in the CMMS and regular feedback provided on progress.
    • Information Management Ensuring that all work is controlled through work orders and that all information loops are closed. Liaising with Supervisors to confirm that all technical manuals and documents are up to date and stored in a Technical Library – preference onto CMMS i.e. DMS (Document Management System). Advising and reporting to key stakeholders on problems in areas of responsibilities relating to maintenance tasks execution. Preparing and distributing relevant and appropriate maintenance reports including ad hoc maintenance reports, e.g. projected and incurred planning and scheduling costs, performance, failure analysis, etc. Refining, modifying and moulding maintenance systems changes as requested by the key stakeholders. Interfacing maintenance and production requirements. Coordinating Plant Maintenance Assets installed with Engineering Department within responsible Shaft/Mine or Plant by obtaining master data changes or additions. Reviewing master data for correctness and validity and prepare and arrange for the new requirements to be uploaded appropriately to Sibanye-Stillwater Standard Codification and rules of change on a regular basis. Working with supervisors to ensure that findings and recommendations of 3rd party maintenance reports are planned in the CMMS. Supporting Supervisors to ensure critical spares lists are updated.
    • Material Management Liaising with procurement on maintenance materials requirements. Actively support the codification and bills of material initiatives. Manage and report on emergency order numbers created and placed through the system.
    • Building a values-based organisational culture Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment such as the BeQ.

    Operator Rock Drill (No Assistant)

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Level 1: Grade 9 Certificate GET Services

    The Appointee should:

    • NQF 2 Elementary Certificate (Grade 10 or equivalent)
    • VTS Testing suitable grading
    • Certified competend as a Drill Rig Operator
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • Clear security screening record.
    • Clear credit record

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drilling and Equipment maintenance  Effective rock drill operation at the development and stoping ends to achieve targets within set quality standards.  Effective drilling of equipment through drilling holes using drill steel equipped with a “knock-off bit”.  Effectively position and remove a drill carriage.  Ensure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and specifications.  Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks.  Install grouted support, rope anchors, rock bolts and mechanical props.  Ensure that equipment is always maintained to perform the job and not damaged.  Conduct basic maintenance activities on equipment. Administration and Reporting  Communicate any stumbling blocks for actions to be taken.  Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility.  Support team members whenever required. Drilling of face holes and/or support holes  Ensure holes are drilled to the correct depth and angle required by mining standards.  Ensure that roofbolt is installed as per mining standards.  Assist with charging up when required.  Assist with the face preparation including safety nets and props.
    • Stakeholder Relations  Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.  Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Building a values-based organisational culture  Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment. ESG Compliance  Align to international responsible mining principles.  SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).  SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative.  US PGM Operations: Enhance together for ICCM principles.
