Maintenance Service Person at Sibanye-Stillwater

Minimum Required Qualification:

• Level 2: Grade 10 and National Certificates level 2 Trade and Occupational Qualifications Services
• National Certificate: Electro-Mechanics Mining and Minerals (Mechanic)
• 18 months’ experience in conventional mining

The Appointee should:

• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Additional Requirements:

• 3 Months’ experience in TMM will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• SHE Supervision:  Maintain SHE standards within the work environment  Monitor compliance to SHE requirements in the work environment  Apply and comply to SHE standards in the work environment Quality Management System (QMS):  Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System Risk Assessments:  Participate in risk assessments and take appropriate action  Address workplace hazards and risks SHEQ Investigations:  Participate in investigations into workplace incidents Cost Savings:  Identify cost saving and cash conservation opportunities  Safeguard company assets (fixed and working capital) Corporate Governance and Organisational Ethics:  Comply with legal requirements Operational Functionality:  Perform routine maintenance and repair by diagnosing faults as instructed by Foreman  Conduct ad hoc routine and maintenance  Diagnosing breakdown problems in areas of expertise  Provide water supply and control by maintaining and repairing pumps up to C5 pumps  Conduct entry examination to ensure all equipment is in proper working order  Perform manual tasks of electrical nature, e.g. moving of rig boxes, connecting of fans  Assist in installing and moving of equipment and machinery  Provide fitter services , e.g. maintain vent doors, tips, conveyor belts  Perform boilermaking services, e.g. welding and cutting  Maintain and monitor performance to ensure establish goals and expectations are met.
