• The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate milk procurement logistics activities within KwaZulu-Natal, ensuring efficient collection, transportation, and supply of milk in line with operational requirements, quality standards, and business objectives.                                                                                                                   

Requirements    

• National Diploma
• Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
• People management experience 
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)
• Code 14 motor vehicle license (advantageous)
• Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities    
Manage milk collection operations

• Manage route compliance
• Manage tanker turnaround time at factories
• Track and manage OTIF
• Control milk variances
• Complete administration
• Manage on-farm milk spillages and vehicle breakdowns

Manage Cross Border transport

• Manage State Vet compliance
• Complete and distribute cross border permits and documents
• Order transport aligned with daily planning
• Oversee vehicle and driver compliance
• Balancing and recons of milk with Botswana and Clayville

Manage milk quality

• Conduct tanker compliance Audits
• Audit on farm SOP compliance (Transport Service Providers)
• Analyse and rectify Collection Sample handling by external suppliers
• Manage cip compliance internal and external
• Do QNON RCI's

Manage Milk reception

• Oversee turnaround times
• Investigate exceptions and QNON
• Support MR management
• Manage cross border loading execution

Manage admin process

• Balance milk (Internal & External)
• Compile reports
• Schedule routes (Internal & External)
• Support data capturing and data management (Stand in)
• Manage external suppliers (Transporters & Milk suppliers)

Producer Services

• Communication iro on-farm admin and processes
• Communication iro collection route execution and exceptions
• Manage on-farm milk spillages and vehicle breakdowns
• Audit on-farm processes and SOP compliance by external transporters

Financial administration

• Manage petty cash
• Manage permit purchases
• Recon Cross Border permit costs
• ERPLX: Update, maintain and processing of documents
• Manage employees
• As prescribed HR system
