Conventional Boring Mill Turner at BlueMarble

POSITION :
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

• Reads and interprets drawings and make necessary mathematical calculations
• Examine work piece for defects
• Directs crane operator to put work piece on the machine table
• Sets up job and secure work piece to the table using clamps, shims, parallel block etc.
• Select correct feeds and speeds
• Operates and tend machine to perform machining operations
• Work to close tolerances
• Verifies conformance of machined parts using measuring instruments to drawing specs
• Filling in of all documentation as required (check sheets, time sheets, trial packs etc.)
• Regrind and sharpen tools as needed
• Maintain machine tooling in orderly fashion and request for new tooling as needed
• Keeps machine and surrounding area clean, performs housekeeping assignments as required
• Obeys all safety rules and  other duties deemed to be that of a Horizontal and Vertical Boring Mill Operator 
• Own transport  or public transport
• Must reside in and around Pretoria 
• Must be able to work shifts
• Minimum Education & Experience required
• Matrix or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in medium manufacturing industry. MEIBC
